our extensive model of care we also offerassisted living and independent living communities to provide a worry-free lifestyle for retirementage members who seek to relax and enjoy what they love without the hassle of lawn maintenanceor home repairs. from residents who are completely independent, to those who need some help fordaily living activities. our commitment to caring reaches customers of all stages oflife. as senior vice president of corporate development, my job is to continually findopportunities to grow and expand our services to communities in the southeast. this includesconstruction and renovation projects, the acquisition of new agencies, communicationsenhancement, and community education. pruitthealth has locations all over the southeast providingservices to thousands of people each day.
but growth is not just about the number oflocations in our organization, or the number of patients we care for. it is about continuingto find new ways to positively affect the lives of others. through our committment tocaring and targeted growth strategy, we have the opportunity to make a difference in thelives of more patients and more partners than ever before. as the chief financial officerof pruitthealth, i am responsible for all of the financing, accounting, and reportingrequirements of the organization. after 25 years in the health care profession, i joinedthe company because of it's highly ethical standards, it's focus on initiatives thatbenefit it's patients and partners, and it's true commitment to caring. we talk about ourpartners throughout this video. a partner

have heard members of the pruitthealth executiveleadership team describe what working for our organization means to them. now as youhear from some of our partners, we hope you will notice the ways that our organizationis different. our people are our greatest asset and through their committment to ourmission, we will continue to move forward with great success. it has been wonderfulto work for pruitthealth for almost thirty-eight years. to take care of the frail, sick, andelderly has been awesome. i began as a nursing assistant in 1975, but through opportunitiesafforded to me by the organization, i was able to work in several departments and obtainmy administrators license in 1989. i am blessed to have worked for an organization that hasenabled me to accomplish this. through hard
work and doing your very best, you are affordedthe chance to be all you want to be. i believe you cannot ask for more than that. a partof pruitt's policy is being committed, and this staff is committed, they are committedto the patients here. to the families here. they care about the people that they takecare of on a daily basis. and i am just most proud of that. honestly, it is quite an experience.it really is an honorable experience. it's an amazing experience to see the dedication thatthis company has to the community, to it's patients, everybody that has bought into thisfacility. there is an intense and passionate response from the team as it's mandated bythe company, but everybody has caught ahold of that theory, that philosophy, and it'sbecome a culture here. to be a part of that
is just amazing. i'm excited to come to workeveryday. i have a good time, i do. anyone could do a job, but you have to have a genuinecare and concern and well-being. basically just the idea of treating people the way thatyou would like to be treated. i'm just really excited, really excited about this opportunityto work for such a great company, and i don't say that lightly, i don't take that lightly.i've worked, i've been in skilled rehab for about eight years and i've never seen a companyso committed to it's patients and so committed to achieving good outcomes. i knew when igot into the care of the elderly that i looked ahead at my own parents, that one day theymight need this type of care. i wanted to be educated in that. i wanted to know howthe system works. i wanted to be informed.
i wanted to work for a company that i feltgood about not only referring family and friends to, but referring my own family to. i feelcomfortable putting my mom and dad here, so that should make everybody else feel comfortableputting their loved ones here.
